It's that time of year, you know the one – right after the holidays. We are full of good food (maybe even a few pounds heavier) and are looking at a new year. A new start. A new canvas.
Many people are boldly making their list of goals for the year; promising themselves this will be the year they finally complete those elusive resolutions.
And then there are others, quietly, secretly, even desperately whispering, "Maybe this will be the year: I sleep without fear, I trust others for help, I get my anger under control, I leave this toxic relationship, I get help."
"Maybe this will be the year hope comes."
There is a place where hope is not just a wish – a fleeting mist, but it is real, alive, and available. New Mexico Baptist Children's Home and Family Ministries has offered hope to children and families for over 100 years. What began as a way to solve a problem for children in need has become a place to find transformation for all people.
We are here to help all of those who are whispering to themselves, "Maybe this will be the year."
For children looking for a safe, stable, loving place to live, we are here.
For parents struggling, not knowing where to turn, we are here.
For men and women desiring a new direction in life, we are here.
For all those facing heartbreak, we are here.
For couples creating a forever home, we are here.
This year, as you write your resolutions, remember those who are also making their quiet, secret goals. You can be a part of helping them rewrite their futures.
How You Can Help:
- Pray: Lift up in prayer the children in our care, the families seeking help, and those choosing a new path.
- Share: If you know someone who needs help, share the message that we are here to help. Send them a link to our website: www.nmbch.com.
- Give: Your time through volunteering, your monetary gifts, and in-kind donations help provide needed resources.
For all those with quiet goals – this will be the year.
We are here to help.
