Serenity Richard, Executive Director
This year has truly been a testimony to the faithfulness of God. Over and over, we have seen His hand at work healing broken hearts, restoring laughter to weary faces, and planting hope in the place of despair. Every story we witness is a reminder that the Lord is near and that He is using the love and generosity of His people to do great things.
When I look into the faces of the children in our care, I see living reminders of God's promise never to leave or forsake His children. For nine-year-old James*, God's faithfulness looks like a small nightlight glowing beside his bed. When he first arrived, he was scared of the dark. He had known nights when the lights where shut off and fear crept in with the shadows.
Now, because of the support of friends like you, James sleeps peacefully knowing that the lights can stay on all night. The simple gift of light reminds him that he is safe, cared for, and loved. It is a small thing that tells a much bigger story of a faithful God meeting the needs of His children through the kindness of His people.
As we celebrate the birth of our Savior, we remember that every act of love, every prayer, and every gift is part of God's story of "God with us." He is present in the laughter echoing down our halls, in the courage growing within young hearts like James's, and in the faithful generosity of friends who believe that futures can be rewritten through His grace.
Thank you for standing with us, praying with us, and believing with us this year. Because of you, children like James are discovering what it means to know that God is with them. May your Christmas be filled with peace and the unshakable joy of knowing that God is truly with you as well.
