The BCH 4-H group is blessed year after year by the generous donations and unwavering support of our community. This year, the community went above and beyond in supporting our program.
We had two children old enough to exhibit pigs, along with two younger children who participated in the booster class. All of them did an amazing job. Their success would not have been possible without the dedication and support of our local extension office and the broader community.
These folks truly stepped up in a big way. They took time to visit the barn, check on the animals, and work with the kids on showmanship skills for the ring. During the fair, several volunteers, including some we met for the first time that day, generously donated their time to wash pigs, ensure the kids were in the ring on time, and assist with feeding and watering.
We are thrilled to share that two of our pigs made it to the livestock sale. A big thank you to everyone who helped make that possible, especially the generous individuals who purchased “Munch” and “Mamas” and then donated them back to our program.
What a wonderful and supportive community we are blessed to live in. The kids truly felt the love.
